Donate or Sponsor: Why does our community garden need your help?

Membership dues account for only a portion of our annual expenses, so additional contributions are needed to keep our garden growing. For more information on how to contribute please email us.

Is your company looking for a way to give back to its community? We ask that you consider the Colwood Garden Society. We have several options below, or you can contact us to discuss how we may create a mutually beneficial package for your business or group.

Garden Society Friend: A one time donation of in-kind materials or service:

  • Check the list at the bottom of the page to see our current material and services needs. Is there a possible match? 
  • Don’t see a material or service but think we would benefit from what you have to offer, contact us!
  • Should you be able to offer us an in-kind material need or service, we will mention you in a blog post on our website and you will be included in the official list of donors and sponsors at our annual AGM so our membership is aware of your generosity and can perhaps make use of your products or services outside of the Garden Society.

Official Sponsor:  On-going donation of in-kind materials or services:

  • Have something that we need throughout the year and able to provide some  or all of our needs, then sponsorship is a possibility.
  • Dedicated blog post about your contribution, with links to your webpage and services. (See the Island Junk Solutions sponsorship post for reference.)
  • Amplification of the blog post through our and partner’s social media at the time of the post and several times throughout the year.
  • Mentioned at the AGM and periodic mail outs to our members.
  • Your linked logo on our website, the page after this, as a matter of fact.

Garden Society Benefactor: Cash Donation

  • Cash donations in any amount are gratefully accepted.
  • For donations of $500 and above:
    • Dedicated blog post about your contribution, with links to your webpage and services. (See the Rotary Club of Colwood donation post for reference.)
    • Amplification of the blog post through our and partner’s social media at the time of the post and several times throughout the year.
    • Mentioned at the AGM and periodic mail outs to our members.
    • Your linked logo on our website, the page after this, as a matter of fact.
  • If you wish, you may use the donate button below to make an online donation.


Other ways to give…

Current Needs:

  • clean soil
  • wood for raised bed boxes
  • fencing (for expansion)
  • gravel (for pathways)
  • garden shed
  • wheel barrow
