Update on AGM – held Saturday, September 19
Thank you to all those who attended the Annual General Meeting at the Garden. The meeting was held under the new gazebo on a lovely sunny morning. Lots has been happening this past year. And next year promises to have many new changes. We encourage you to view the President’s report for a summary of the past year. The AGM Meeting Minutes will be available in the coming weeks.
Proposal for Alternative Community Garden Site in Colwood
The Colwood Garden Society Board and volunteers have been working hard with the City of Colwood to find an alternate community garden site. The City of Colwood is considering a proposal to allow the community garden site at the West Lagoon Park, close to the Colwood Arts and Culture Centre on Goldfinch. A letter went out to those living in that area. The Colwood Garden Society also had an information booth at the Colwood Arts and Culture Festival held on Sept. 12, 2026 and collected names of those who would support a community garden at that site. Pop Can and Bottle Collection – We Need Your Help
Help us with our fundraising. We are looking for 2 or 3 volunteers who would be responsible for the sorting and deposit of the cans and bottles collected and dropped off at the garden. About twice a month. (Go to Fundraising for more information)
