Next Garden Work Party – Scheduled for Sat. Oct. 24
ALL HANDS NEEDED! – We need your help for the end of the year garden work group. As well as the regular fall cleanup we will be replacing the old accessible beds and setting up 3 NEW galvanized metal accessible beds. These galvanized metal beds are our first move towards switching from wood to metal which lasts longer and should require less maintenance. (See Oct 2026 board meeting minutes)

Proposal for Second Community Garden Site in Colwood
With a 2 year or more waitlist, demand is high for garden spaces. The Colwood Garden Society Board and volunteers have been working hard with the City of Colwood to find a second community garden site. The City of Colwood is considering a proposal to allow the community garden site at the West Lagoon Park, close to the Colwood Arts and Culture Centre on Goldfinch. A letter went out to those living in that area. The City of Colwood has posted more information under their “Let’s Talk” section. Please look at “Exploring a Community Garden at the Lagoon West Park”

Pop Can and Bottle Collection – We Need Your Help
Help us with our fundraising. We are looking for 2 or 3 volunteers who would be responsible for the sorting and deposit of the cans and bottles collected and dropped off at the garden. About twice a month. (Go to Fundraising for more information)
