Garden Box Waitlist
If you are interested ONLY in renting a garden box, you are welcome to place your name on the waitlist. Please email cgs@colwoodgardensociety.org. You do not have to be a member to be on the waitlist. Note: Only Colwood and Langford residents will be considered for garden box rentals.
There are 65 garden boxes. Rental agreements are from Jan 1 to Dec 31. All boxes are currently rented for 2026. Each year, current garden box renters are given the option to renew and pay their rental by Feb. 15.
Only a few garden boxes come available each year. Plots become available for assignment through the failure of a member to renew their lease, death of a member, termination of membership, or the opening of new plots. The people who are on the waitlist will usually be contacted in late February and early March. Individuals on the waitlist are contacted according to the order their name appears on the list. There is no preferential treatment. The waitlist is currently 2 to 3 years. Please read the Garden Plot Regulations for details.
Garden box rentals are currently $45 a year. Once you are contacted to rent a garden box, you will be required to become a member of the Colwood Garden Society. For more information about the garden plots and garden regulations, please read over the Garden Plot Regulations.
