Living Edge Volunteers – Boxes 17 & 18
Living Edge works in collaboration with Food Share Network, Mustard Seed Food Bank and the Salvation Army to secure food from grocery stores and other food providers. Our contribution is fresh herbs and vegetables from the two beds that our members help to maintain and harvest.
The Living Edge is hosted by Open gate Church at 2612 Sooke Road every Friday year round. Our contributions are during the summer months when produce can be harvested from our two designated beds OR by members donating excess produce from their beds. These are collected, harvested and delivered on Friday mornings.
If you are not available on Friday mornings to harvest, you can still assist in the planting and maintenance of garden boxes 17 & 18 OR if you have excess food or herbs, you are welcome to drop that off on Friday mornings to go to the Living Edge Project. We welcome any way you can help. Contact Bonnie at volunteers@colwoodgardensociety.org
