As a first experiment with galvanized metal garden beds, the Colwood Garden Society approved the replacement of the three wooden accessible beds (which not even rebar reinforcements can hold together any longer).
On Sat. October 24, 2026, volunteers removed the old (slightly rotted) wood frames of the 3 accessible garden boxers and replaced those with 3 foot by 10 foot by 26 inch high galvanized steel frames. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped out on a drizzly Saturday.
