We are hosting a community meeting on May 14, 2026 at 6:30pm in the Colwood City Hall Council Chambers. Anyone who is interested in hearing more about the project or exploring how you or your group might get involved should come! We will present the background of the project, discuss the future plans, and funding arrangements that are now in place.
These are key components that we are looking for donations of:
- Soil
- Fencing
- Irrigation system components
- Garden tools
- Cedar lumber
- Galvanized steel for garden beds
- Garden shed
- Perennial plants
- Native plants
Volunteer Opportunities
- Removing invasive species (volunteer with Friends of Colwood Parks and Green Team of Victoria)
- Working with the new garden’s organizing committee to help with the planning and engagement over the summer
- Help with fundraising
- Potentially building some of the garden beds
