The City of Colwood has generously supported the Colwood Community garden since its establishment in 2018. The garden space is located on Colwood City Hall property at 3300 Wishart Road.
The Community Garden Society rents 65 of the 67 plots. Two plots are maintained by volunteers and the harvest is sent to Living Edge in Langford, a market style food bank for those in need.
Renting a Plot
Each renter is responsible for the maintenance of their plot, as well as several volunteer hours a year on different projects within the society, such as administration, maintaining the overall garden, fundraising, etc. The cost for annual rental is $45, plus a one-time membership fee of $10.
